The much awaited SHRM 2016 is here and day one was a buzz of enthusiasm, energy and good spirit, there were notable spokespersons, HR managers, startups displaying their products and a whole lot of networking. With a star-studded speaker list, there were names like Pramod Bhasin, Amitabh Kant and Deep Kalra. Day one at SHRM was just what we expected in terms of the zeal, amazing ideas and fresh views on HR practices. With the “I dare” story to follow, participants shared their stories of how they overcame their fears and stereotypical HR solutions.
I Dared at SHRM
Going beyond the conventional ways and being fearless, going beyond the edge – this captures the essence of “I dared” is. Becoming a bold and daring HR is the focus of “ I Dared”. Overcoming fears and questioning the obvious, challenging the set norms, one must DARE! Fall in Love with your problems
Sonali Roychowdhary from P&G said that the future HRs need to fall in love with problems and not with the solutions.
This is a very refreshing new approach of problem-solving that the HRs face in the modern work environment. The main focus is to basically face the problem with a mindset to come up with tangible solutions by going beyond the set standard norms. An HR is supposed to be a credible activist.
