With the increase in technological advancements, the number of cyberattacks has also increased. Multiple softwares integrated through and through for entrepreneurial purposes opens the opportunity for cyber-attacks. With each integration, or implementation into the solution, the ever-growing list of complicated passwords for users throws a challenge- to manage the credentials essentially and consistently.
The Internet Crime Report by the Federal Bureau for Investigation has reported a staggeringly high $10.2 billion extorted in cybercrime last year. One of the most common methods of cyberattacks includes retrieving the employees’ passwords to gain access to the organization’s system.
The need to manage and protect your passwords is growing more than ever.
Password managers are a crucial endpoint security tool for defending against cybercrime in today’s cyber landscape. These intuitive software solutions save your login information in an encrypted database and use that database to sync your passwords across devices. A report has revealed that one in every three executives uses a password manager to block the proliferation of cybercrime.
This article will review the best password managers for businesses in 2024.
Key considerations for choosing a password manager for businesses
Before choosing a password manager, make sure to factor in the following elements:
- Security features: The best password manager for you must have robust security features to protect you from security breaches. This can help avoid common cybersecurity attacks like identity theft, phishing and ransomware. These features may include data encryption, password access control and more.
- Ease of use and user experience: Consider the complexity of using and integrating the password manager and choose the one with an intuitive and simple-to-use interface. It helps reduce the learning curve and also adds to the employee experience.
- Multi-platform support: Check if the password manager offers support on multiple platforms for easy access across platforms.
- Team collaboration and sharing capabilities: Go for a password manager that offers safe password-sharing options for teams.
- Password generator and strength analysis: Consider if the password manager offers a password generator and strength check for increased security.
- Two-factor authentication: 2FA is another great feature found in top password managers to increase checkpoints and minimize password misuse.
- Integration options: Consider if the password manager you’re looking at can integrate easily with other tools used by your team.
- Pricing and scalability: Some password managers offer great plans for individuals, while some offer better plans for enterprises. Check and compare prices to determine the best one for you.

What do you like best about LastPass?
It is safe and convenient to use. I don't have to worry about remembering all of my complex passwords or need to keep my accounts open in order to access my work.
What do you dislike about LastPass?
Sometimes it only adds the user information or the password and I'm not sure I understand when it does that and why - so it happens that I need to refill the information, but it only takes a few minutes to do.
What problems is LastPass solving and how is that benefiting you?
For work, I need many different accounts and I need them to be safe and private. Therefore I need a place where I can safely store all of my complex passwords without being afraid they will be lost or stolen. LastPass does this job for me.

"Super simple and convenient"
What do you like best about 1Password?
It encourages me to have much better habits around security. Its password-sharing capabilities are also excellent for sharing externally and within your team.
I used LastPass for a long time, but many security incidents made me look elsewhere around three years ago, and I never looked back.
At the time, at my company, we also wanted to adopt a corporate password manager and looked into various options (1password, Dashlane, Roboform, Nordpass, Keeper, ...), but in the end, 1password was the perfect one for us, due to the ease of using shared password vaults and having a personal vault for each user.
What do you dislike about 1Password?
Though it works well with password automatic populations in native apps, if you use a virtual machine (such as parallels), it doesn't allow entering passwords in the apps inside of the virtual machine; you have to rely on the copy/paste functionality. It's a minor gripe, but one I definitely would like to see improved.
With the newest version, if we have images stored in the vaults and try to access them, it downloads a copy to your local machine before showing it to you, which doesn't seem to be the most secure way of doing things. In previous versions, there was a "preview" feature embedded into the app, which seemed more secure.
What problems is 1Password solving and how is that benefiting you?
At my company, we always needed to use shared passwords. Before using 1password, passwords were shared by mail, Microsoft Teams messages, etc. Some people were storing their passwords on Excel spreadsheets (some with and some without password protection), and others just used a txt unprotected document for that. Passwords were reused in many different environments, and overall, we were adopting very insecure habits from a password management point of view.
1password solved all of that. The adoption was a bit slow at first (mindset change is always hard), but everybody now realises that this is a much better practice and is not inconvenient at all. In fact, after you learn how to use it, it makes signing up for new services even quicker than before.

3. Dashlane
Dashlane is a great password manager for those looking for a feature-packed combo.
Dashlane is much more than a password manager, including features such as automatic password changing, a virtual private network, and identity theft protection. It's comprehensive security suite is designed to safeguard your online accounts, privacy, and identity. Dashlane delivers everything but a secure antivirus in a single subscription.
Although it is on the expensive end, it has enough extras to warrant the cost.
Dashlane's basic subscription costs $60 per year, but the all-inclusive option, which includes identity theft protection, costs twice as much. The free plan is restricted to 50 passwords.
Notable features of Dashlane
- Password health page to keep a check on changing hazardous passwords, overused, weak, or compromised passwords

"A super reliable password manager"
What do you like best about Dashlane?
I like how I haven't heard reports on security breaches throughout the length of my use. That's an A+ in my books. I also find it super easy to access and share with other people. I like how I can configure the password generator to make a variety of lengths and difficulties. It's also been a while since I've had to reset the password in my tools, and that's because I got Dashlane to remember everything for me.
What do you dislike about Dashlane?
I wish there were a way to easily create shared folders that I can share with a specific team. Let's say I have a folder fool of design tools and I can share them all with our designers.
What problems is Dashlane solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the problem of forgetting passwords and reduces the friction in sharing passwords with others. I feel like I'm more productive with the tool as I can just focus on more significant tasks and let this tool deal with all things passwords. Payments and forms are even less of a hassle because I can perfectly save payment and personal details of mine and that of other key persons in the organization.

4. Keeper
Keeper is a fantastic password manager with a beautifully designed user-friendly interface and plenty of interesting capabilities. However, the services offered by this program may not be for everyone.
One of the best add-ons from Keeper is KeeperChat. It's a secure texting app with enough functionality to make Facebook Messenger look like child's play. KeeperChat has a private media gallery, timed self-destruct messages, and message retraction in addition to in-transit encryption.
Although Keeper offers decent base pricing, it comes with many paid add-ons that can substantially increase costs.

"The hidden gem of this space"
What do you like best about Keeper Password Manager?
As a password management software, Keeper Password Tool has a lot to offer. I feel safe with their encryption and the convenience of a single master password is a gem,
The ability to access your passwords from any device and securely share them with others is also better than the rest.
What do you dislike about Keeper Password Manager?
Having to get everyone in the office onto it takes a bit of work, but the pricing is cheaper than the rest so I am happy enough to do the odd few starter calls. Once we share only that way and vault our passwords people adopt quick.
Could do with a little bit of UX & a fresher look tbh but here.
What problems is Keeper Password Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?
Password sharing as a business and having a vault that I can give and revoke access too easily is great. Its much better than LastPass etc in those regards for me.

"Very Good Password and Credentials Manager"
What do you like best about Bitwarden?
Bitwarden is a great replacement for some of the other password managers like Manage Engine, Last Pass and One Password. This allows for integration into Browser and even has a Linux/Docker Server database application that is available for working with API and more. The Desktop application is well-rounded and connects to the cloud application account to manage folders and records.
What do you dislike about Bitwarden?
The Browser plugin can be a bit clunky with the install; the only downside is that sometimes the browser will not detect that a login is happening and can miss the opportunity to save the credentials in the database.
What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centralized Password Management that works with both Browser, Desktop and Mobile (Apple/Android). Provides a GitHub option to work on a Docker\Linux version. Great Alternative for Personal and Managed Services Customers.

With OneLogin, you can automate user operations, control who has access to what (on a group or individual basis), and examine usage logs.
The MFA feature is what makes OneLogin stand out. Multi-factor authentication considers a number of criteria to assess whether or not a login attempt is legitimate with Vigilance AI and SmartFactor authentication.

"All in One"
What do you like best about OneLogin?
Onelogin is like a one-stop shop. I can access different apps/websites in just one place. It has everything that I need. It helps me a lot to be more efficient in my daily routine. And also, Uber Onelogin is very user-friendly. Easy to use as well.
What do you dislike about OneLogin?
The interface is very plain and simple. They should make some changes to the website to make it more attractive to users. Must add a hoover function where if we hoover our mouse on the app, it should give us a little description about it.
What problems is OneLogin solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was able to access all the essential tools that I need for me to get my job done in a timely manner and also I'm being more efficient because I don't need to go to any websites in order to access the tools that I need.

8. NordPass
NordPass is one of the most recognized VPN-turned-password managers, managed by the same firm that created NordVPN. One of its main benefits is that it offers a free plan with unlimited storage but no multi-device sync.
It doesn't compete with top tools like Dashlane but stands out on its own. NordPass is secure and simple to use. But you may find better solutions available, especially if you're willing to pay.
The primary disadvantage of NordPass is its lack of features. The local application enables password import, and the browser extension's password generator can generate a strong password. However, this is insufficient with the existing password manager landscape.
Notable features of NordPass

- Automatically sync all of your passwords across various platforms, whether you use the mobile app or desktop
- Password generator for paid and free users to make strong credentials based on the parameters you specify

Sensitive information sharing with Employees. Credit card details. Purchased courses use just for the team and not shared with somebody else.

What problems is Zoho One solving and how is that benefiting you?

What problems is TeamPassword solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have way too many apps and log-ins that I also share with my team... TeamPassword has helped me not only keep track of my passwords but also gives me a chance to keep them organized and shareable with our team.

The interface is not very aesthetically pleasing.
What problems is Sticky Password solving and how is that benefiting you?
